Meet Café Pelt
Welcome to Café Pelt – the bustling heart of Heerlen, where the tap never stops flowing and the atmosphere is always great. For years, we have been a place where young and old come together for a good glass of beer, a chat at the bar and, of course, a good dose of Heëlesche gemuutligheet (Heerlen cheerfulness).
If you’re bored, then you clearly haven’t been to Café Pelt enough. There’s always something going on here. Our calendar is full of activities and recurring events. Whether you fancy an evening of quizzes, dancing or just enjoying a good drink and a great atmosphere – there’s something for everyone.

Come and enjoy lunch or dinner with us. Our dining menu is available every Thursday to Sunday between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
About Us
Café Pelt opened its doors on 27 January 1995. Since 1 April 2022, Café Pelt has been run by Arjan Huneman and his partner Femke Miedema. Arjan, originally from Zeeland, and Femke, originally from Friesland, have extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
Arjan succeeded Frits and Kathinka Pelt, after whom the café is named. They have not changed much in terms of the atmosphere and appearance of this traditional pub.
In terms of activities, there is still Noa de Mes, the monthly talk show (presented by Frits Pelt, among others), Remember Femina and the pop/pub quiz. New additions include karaoke evenings and wine and beer tastings.
The small hall can still be used for parties, meetings, etc., but now there is also a (quieter) space above the pub available.

Gewoon gezellig. De prijzen voor speciaal bier zijn redelijk. Aardige keuze aan de bekende speciaal bieren. Vlotte bediening. Verzorgde wc’s. Centrale ligging in Heerlen. Geschikt voor het kijken naar een voetbal wedstrijd. Sinds 2022 is er een nieuwe eigenaar.
Zijn bediend door twee hele leuke kerels genaamd Bram en Thijmen. Hebben gezorgd voor een top service en een onvergetelijke middag! Wanneer je hier bent zeker vragen naar deze kerels. Plus Thijmen heeft de looks mee en is nog vrijgezel 😉.
Leuk cafeetje om gezellig lekker een drankje te doen, te borrelen of als je trek hebt, voor klein prijsje toch lekker te kunnen eten.
